Special Educational Needs and Disabilities  Information

Cheviot is a fully inclusive school.

At Cheviot we pride ourselves on being an extremely inclusive, caring and forward thinking school at the heart of the local community.  Children’s all round development is paramount to us and we endeavour to provide children with a wide range of experiences and opportunities so that they experience success and are well equipped for their future education. Our school is a primary academy and is part of SMART Multi Academy Trust.  Our vision statement is the derive for all we do in school, including our work with our children with additional needs. This document provides information about the variety of ways we ensure we support children with special educational needs (SEND) to achieve their full potential. We provide a safe environment with a range of engaging educational and pastoral support to all children and ensure all make very good progress.

Cheviot treats each child as an individual and will receive exceptional provision and resources where necessary.

If you would like further information, or  a chat, please contact our SENDCO, Ms. Thompson, by email Jane.Thompson@cheviot.newcastle.sch.uk    or phone on 0191 2869324.

Cheviot Primary School operates its SEND provision in line with Newcastle Local Authority’s SEN and disabilities policies and procedures. To access more information in relation to this view Newcastle Local Authority’s Local Offer.
