Welcome Back!

5th January 2020
HAPPY NEW YEAR!- We hope 2020 proves to be a great year for everyone at Cheviot.
Children have all come back and gotten straight back into routine with great effort and concentration all round.
Year 6 have been thoroughly enjoying their tutoring programme which takes place on a Thursday afternoon. We have received positive feedback from the lead tutor of how herself and her team of tutors consider it a pleasure teach such hardworking Year 6 pupils, they are all representing Cheviot in such a marvellous way!
This week the whole school has started a new topic, 'Pioneers and Dreamers' all based around influential individuals who have strong connections to the North East of England. This topic teaches the children to appreciate the area we live in and inspires them to do what ever they set their mind to!
Students in Year 1 have been putting their ICT skills to the test by using Green Screen Technology to transport them to a different setting, such as farms and visits to the North Pole to see the polar bears!
APPEAL: We are running very low on spare clothing and underwear in school. It is inevitable that children will have the odd accident every now and again in school- any donations of clothes your children have outgrown would be very greatly appreciated.
Please hand them in to your class team or at the office.
